The Leopards finished the year as they hosted Milton & Fulston for the first time this season.
The hosts were without Joseph who was away,
while Zach was still nursing a thigh injury. With Tommy unavailable, Ollie May returned between the sticks.
The Leopards started well with the midfield of Ben, Jack, David & Connor controlling possession.
The hosts took the lead on the half hour mark, as Callum’s ball forward was flicked on by Luke into the path of David, who made no mistake and tucked into the far corner.
Into the Second Half and the boys were asked for more of the same, and they looked most likely to extend their lead.
However, it was the visitors who netted 2 quick goals to take the lead. First a cross from the right was diverted home from close range. Then a deep free kick was headed back across and bundled home giving Ollie no chance.
The Leopards now had to step it up, and they did so, drawing level within 4 minutes. As Phillip’s cross fell to Jack inside the box, he shifted onto his right foot before smashing a powerful effort inside the far post.
And 6 minutes later the Leopards were back ahead, following some excellent football involving Jack, Callum & David, who fired the ball into Paul’s feet, he played it into Phillip run and he drilled into the far corner.
Milton were shell shocked but still pressed forward, but the back 3 of Josh, Peter & Brick were defending superbly.
The Leopards extended their lead as Jack’s delicious free kick was headed superbly into the far corner by Phillip from almost behind him.
And Phillip then put the cheery on the cake as he completed his hat trick with 2 minutes to go, Joe found Paul down the left and his superb cross was met with a thumping header by Phillip into the roof of the net.
